Madison Davies

About

Born in 1993 on Gadigal land in Sydney, Australia, Madison Davies is a self-taught artist and painter whose practice is rooted in a deep reverence for the natural world and its mirrored reflection within the human psyche. She seeks to translate the complexities of inner experience into tangible form, weaving the seen and unseen into a shared visual language.

Davies’ process is both intuitive and contemplative, guided by the Hermetic axiom, “As above, so below; as within, so without.” This philosophy echoes throughout her work, where natural forms become metaphors for spiritual truths, and inner landscapes find expression through external imagery. By reflecting on the delicate intricacies of the natural world, Davies uncovers deeper truths about human existence and the threads of divinity that connect all life.

At the heart of her work lies an exploration of portals. Her paintings often blur the boundaries between subject and spirit, acting as gateways that draw the viewer toward introspection and connection.

Davies continues to create works that are both deeply personal and universally resonant: reflections of her inner landscapes made physical, and invitations for others to reconnect with the mysteries within themselves and the natural world around them.
