Born in 1964, in Bikfaya, Lebanon, and residing in Nice, France, Kiko Nicolas is a French Lebanese artist who holds a degree in Advertising from Beirut, and studied drawing, painting, and graphic design at the School of Art and Restoration, Florence.
Kiko Nicolas describes her work as essentially figurative; however, abstract elements often emerge intuitively and become integrated into the canvas. She delves into the mysticism of the human psyche, embedding her canvases with layers of symbolism that invite reflection and introspection. Each colour, each gesture becomes a gateway to another reality, as if the secret, unseen fibres of the universe were suddenly made visible.
Her visual language is shaped by the spiritual intensity of Byzantine art and the enduring beauty of the Italian Renaissance.
